Biography
Emily studied a BSc in Geography at Aberystwyth University, with an integrated year abroad in Finland. Having graduated, she completed an MSc in Environmental Sciences in Umea University, Sweden. Both her theses focused on heavy legacy metal in river environments and riparian zones, which has given her practical experience with both field and laboratory work. Since finishing her studies, Emily interned at Earth Active, a small ESG advisory company, working on ESG and due diligence projects, as well as climate risk assessments and carbon auditing.
Emily has supported client focused work on 18 projects across 16 countries, throughout Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, central Asia, sub–Saharan Africa and Asia – Pacific. Clients ranged from development banks, such as the World Bank, to private corporations, including Tesco. She has been fortunate to work across multiple sectors, including oil and gas, mining and extraction, infrastructure and pharmaceutical.
