Technical Director - Environmental & Social Impact Assessment
Europe
Andy is a Technical Director with almost 17 years’ consulting experience, spanning the technical fields of environmental impact assessment (EIA) and hydrology.
He has experience on a range of projects from the management of EIAs for large scale Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPS) to flood risk assessment for a range of public and private clients. Andy has also led projects through the Development Consent Order (DCO) process, including acting as expert witness and public hearings.
Andy has significant experience in the UK power sector, including conventical thermal generation, EFW, solar, wind, hydrogen, and carbon capture. Andy also has experience of consenting transport infrastructure including roads and railways. Having split his career between EIA coordination and hydrology, Andy is able to approach projects from a unique position, with a detailed understanding and appreciation of both the technical requirements of the ‘environmental specialist’ and the ‘client facing, quality and financial focus’ of the EIA coordinator.
