Biography

Chris is a chartered town planner with over 25 years’ experience gained working across the south of England and has worked as a Director in a local authorty and also in the private sector. Chris has a wide range of experience having worked as the Head of Planning in both a rural local authority as well as a city centre unitary authority and has delivered a broad range of development proposals including major urban extensions, urban regeneration projects with retail, leisure, office, residential and mixed-use developments. He has also worked on several Local Plans and steered them through successfully to being found to be technically sound and adopted.

Chris is particularly skilled at working with Council officers, elected politicians, public groups and other stakeholders to ensure they engage in, and are involved with, the decision-making process.

He also works for affordable housing providers on a range of proposals including a large greenfield development and a brownfield regeneration project. Chris is very involved in strategic promotions of sites and often project manages proposals by leading multi-disciplinary teams and is particularly skilled at working to find solutions to issues.
