Biography

Richard is a highly experienced technical specialist widely recognised for expertise in land contamination risk assessment, waste classification, and remediation, focussing on human health risks. He is committed to robust, data-led decision making and has over 25 years of related experience in research institutions, multinationals, and specialist consultancies with more than five years of PFAS-related knowledge and experience.

Richard recently completed a three year research project for the Environment Agency regarding PFAS emissions from landfills and took part in the UKs first project looking at PFAS-impacted concrete. Other experience includes a number of projects involving complex datasets relating to chemical analysis of environmental samples for a wide range of novel organics, including the use of bespoke and novel analysis methods.
