415 Colorado is a high-rise mixed-use development featuring multifamily and office space, situated in the heart of Austin's downtown entertainment district.

Challenge

The project is surrounded by bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, creating a high level of environmental noise at the site. High level of acoustical isolation was required for separation of office and residential units from amenities and building mechanical.

Solution

Recommendations were provided for building shell upgrades to reduce the interior sound level to luxury multifamily standards. Structural slab isolation details were provided for isolation of fitness spaces and other amenities from occupied spaces. Mechanical vibration isolation and noise control specifications were provided to meet luxury multifamily standards.

Impact

415 Colorado sets a new standard for luxury multifamily and office space in downtown Austin.
