To develop a net zero carbon emissions target and strategy for operational energy, embodied carbon and energy consumed by its customers - across their entire portfolio to achieve their 2050 commitment.

Solution

• Principled on limiting the use of offsets where possible and focusing on tangible actions to reduce actual emissions, thereby employing the carbon management hierarchy of avoid, reduce, switch and offset.
• Built and mapped out different carbon reduction targets for gross emissions over a number of different timelines and across its entire portfolio.
• Where residue emissions existed within each reduction pathway, a mapped out plan including pricing for purchasing offsets.
