Challenge

In an attempt to tackle what is a huge challenge for businesses worldwide, City of London turned to Corporate Citizenship (an SLR company) on support conducting a study to deepen their understanding of the business case for volunteering.

Solution

The Corporate Citizenship study, “Volunteering: The Business Case”, focused on employee volunteering in the education sector. By drawing on case studies from 16 businesses across London, we were able to track the learning and development of 546 volunteering employees in schools and colleges across the UK.

Impact

Volunteering: The Business Case” featured in HR Magazine, CEO Journal and academic publications and was hailed as a ground-breaking study into the value of employee volunteering. It remains one of the most sought-after publications on volunteering to date.
