Challenge
Yanco Delta Wind Farm is one of the largest and most advanced wind and battery projects in New South Wales. Origin Energy required stakeholder and community consultation support throughout various stages of the project.
Solution
Our Social Performance team developed a Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plan (CSEP) which will guide consultation with stakeholders and the local community through the project’s planning, construction, operation and decommissioning phases to assist in avoiding, minimising and/or managing potential social impacts.
Impact
The CSEP also included a detailed First Nations Engagement Plan which will ensure consultation demonstrates place-based, culturally appropriate practices - assisting Origin in building a foundation of relationships, respect, and shared opportunities with First Nations people.
