Under the AASB S2, a climate transition plan is not mandated, however, disclosures such as responding to identified climate risks through strategy, resilience, planned actions and any targets and associated progress are required. For mining, the hard part is not writing it, but being able to show that operations can deliver what the plan claims. This is not a 100% accurate statement. AASB S2 does not require an entity to have or publish a climate transition plan.
