Carbon & Energy Management
The role of organisations in addressing environmental and climate change impacts continues to evolve, as investors, consumers and regulators expect more sophisticated and detailed information on performance.
This raises some important challenges for organisations, including how to develop credible strategic commitments, integrate business and environment data, analyse value chain impacts and financial impacts, as well as how to report and communicate findings adequately and sensibly.
Overview
Our team of climate change consultants are global, with hubs in EMEA, NA and APAC, working with organisations across sectors, from small enterprises to large-listed companies, at different stages of maturity.
Our Carbon & Energy Management services span both strategic and technical solutions helping organisations to measure, manage, assess, and disclose environmental impacts. This helps organisations to better understand the environmental impact they have on the world, as well as the impact of climate change on operations – spanning key impact areas including emissions, energy, waste, and water.
We are experienced in supporting compliance with environmental legislative requirements, as well as established voluntary carbon and energy disclosure schemes such as CCAs, CRC, ESOS, SEAI Energy Audit Scheme, SECR, EUETS, TCFD, DJSI, GRI and CDP.
Our Net Zero strategy services are unique, starting with Scope 1-3 baseline calculation, and SBTi and Net Zero target alignment projections, through to carbon abatement pathway appraisal, site level decarbonisation audits, residual emissions strategy, supplier engagement and climate transition planning.
Beyond the impact that organisations have on the environment, we help organisations to understand and manage exposure to climate-related impacts. Referencing the recommendations of the TCFD, we help companies to conduct climate scenario analyses and build capabilities to embed climate into risk and finance processes. We produce climate-related disclosures that align with evolving best practices, meet mandatory-reporting requirements, and satisfy auditor requirements.
Our dedicated team of scientists from CLIMsystems means we have access to the latest climate data to assess the potential future changes of 60+ climatic variables across climate scenarios based on global climate models up to 2100.
We are a Silver-accredited climate change consultancy and SBT solutions provider in the UK, which recognises our commitment to best-practice and leading support in environmental stewardship, and means we have a direct line to exclusive resources.
